What is an IT Leaders - Strategy Session?

Strategy Session Overview

This session is designed for leaders in IT, especially those working in complex, high-pace, and high-change environments.  It is also suitable for business leaders with responsibility for technical-team development, or anyone with rapidly growing teams.

During the session you'll have the opportunity to find out more about what impact you’re making as a leader of IT teams.  We'll cover:

  • Where you and your team are now

Taking stock of where you are now will give you great input for prioritisation and planning.

  • Where you want to be in 12 months

12 months is a long time in IT, but it’s critical to have a target to aim towards, even if you change direction later.

  • What inhibitors exist

What is standing in the way of you getting what you want?  What needs to change to let you get there?

  • Planning to get what you want

Using the input from the session, you can use our template to sketch a forward plan.

  • Insights from our unique framework

Learn more about who we are, how we work with people and our programmes.

When and where are the sessions?

IT Leaders - Strategy Sessions will run through the year, and normally in London, Reading and Farnborough.

What are the costs?

We don't charge directly for these events, instead we ask for a donation to charity.  For our current events, your donation will go to Centrepoint, the UK's leading youth homelessness charity.

We suggest a minimum donation of £20.

About your facilitator

Stephen is a founder and director of Open Square. He has spent more than 13 years in senior leadership and consulting positions for cloud providers and other high scale/complex IT organisations.

During that time, he has received awards for influential business leadership and agile team development, and has discovered he enjoys working with people more than technology.  Even better, he wants to work with people in technology.

Stephen speaks regularly on leadership and continues to learn about people, teams and what makes then perform, so that he can teach and coach other IT leaders.
